Pashek Associates Participates in Park(ing) Day - Wednesday, September 17, 2008
On Friday, September 19th, Pashek Associates will participate in National Park(ing) Day by transforming an ordinary parking space, in front of their offices at East Ohio Street, into an environmentally-friendly, recreational park. The park will be interactive and fun, featuring a game, landscaping and natural street furniture.
The park will be open to the public from approximately 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Friday, September 19. Nearly all materials used in construction will be natural or reused, and they will be recycled after the event. Tree, flowers, and sod are being provided by Eisler Landscapes, Inc. of Butler, PA. We are also borrowing Belgian block from ASTCO Construction Company, Inc. of Pittsburgh, PA.
The primary goal of National Park(ing) Day is to promote the need for more parks in America's urban spaces. This is the first year that the City of Pittsburgh will be participating in National Park(ing) Day, and Pashek Associates is excited to be a part of it.
